The story

DETERMINED TO ACHIEVE THAT ELUSIVE "WORK-LIFE BALANCE", A WRITER, A COMEDIAN, A JOURNALIST, AND AN ACTOR STRUGGLE WITH THEIR IDENTITIES AND THEIR ABILITY TO SUCCEED AS WOMEN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY WITHOUT LOSING THEIR RELATIONSHIPS, THEIR STABILITY, AND THEIR MINDS.

THE PROJECT

Like its creators, OR DIE TRYING is comprised of creative women living and working in Los Angeles, in various aspects of the entertainment industry. Season one was produced in 5 days with a budget of less than $15K, and a primarily female cast and crew.

OR DIE TRYING was an official selection for the oscar-qualifying Hollyshorts film festival, hollyweb film festival, and Marseille Web Fest. The series won best web series at the los angeles film awards and the indie fest film awards.

The series premiered at the academy’s Linwood dunn theater in 2017. episodes Are currently available to stream on amazon video, facebook, and youtube.

THE MOVEMENT

OR DIE TRYING is a testament to the countless women in film who are constantly overlooked and unappreciated. We stand with the women fighting to increase visibility of women and minorities in film and television. WE believe that there is a spot at the table for anyone willing to work hard, be fearless, and demand what they're worth.

This series represents all of the resilient women who are judged not only by their talent, but also by their age, race, gender, "look," and social following. it represents the women who hustle for what they want, because they don't believe in a plan b. the women who collaborate and create, hoping to build something bigger than themselves. 

This one is for the artists, the fighters, and the dreamers.
